NGRUPUK and OGOH-OGOH

Ngrupuk is Nyepi eve. Celebrates the caka new year 1932 to drive out evil spirits. Balinese people do with the "Ogoh-ogoh" paraded around the city."Ogoh-ogoh" is a mannequin made to look scary. Ogoh-ogoh was lifted by a group of people.

Things done on nyepi day are called Catur Brata Panyepian which are no works, no fire or light, no travel, and no entertainment.

On Nyepi day the people evaluate themselves, how far the level of spiritual ascent that has been achieved, and ...have each of us to understand the nature of the purpose of life in this world.
